「Style Inspiration」
Blue and white Chinese porcelain is the "little black dress" of servingware - it never goes out of style! These pieces will make a stunning display at your tea ceremony or for use all year long!

「History」
These classic designs are not only fun, but also have rich roots in Chinese history.
· Stamped 中国景德镇 on the bottom. They are made in Jingdezhen, China, the porcelain capital of the world. The artistry of its ceramic masters are renowned through out the world.
· This style is called Ling Long(玲珑), which means exquisite in Chinese. In a stroke of genius, producers used rice grains to pierce the clay, then filled the holes with glaze to achieve this mysterious translucent rice grain pattern.
· The patterns are full of symbolism too. The cross and diamond patterns on the pot represents longevity, wealth, peace, altruism and good health. On the rim of the tea cups, 工 means "work" which represents the working class. The chrysanthemum flower on the bottom is the symbol of a gentleman. It represents noble character and tenacious vitality.

Being from Beijing, I grew up around true "China". So I'm picky about my porcelain ware. Most of the soft clay-like ceramic you find in stores these days feels clumsy. This plate is crisp, durable, and makes a pleasant "clink" when you tap it. And does not chip easily.
