「Style Inspiration」 Persian Gabbeh Nomad Rugs are tribal rugs handmade on horizontal looms by Persian tribeswomen (frequently by Qashqai or Luri). In many ways these are the most interesting of all Persian Rugs. The Persian Gabbeh Nomad Rugs are unique, characterful and often quirky, one-of-a-kind rugs. These rugs have ancient patterns which can sometimes appear to be contemporary in style.
The Leopard was a symbol of power and courage in ancient Persia. This leopard rug is superbly depicted by a Qashqai weaver. (Leopards still inhabit parts of Iran, including Fars Province where this rug is from). The wool pile is formed by handtied knots onto a wool foundation.
「Dimension」 4' x 6' feet
「Condition」 Brand new. This item is handmade and imperfections are expected. The nature of this type of Gabbeh Rug is highly individual, as a result knot density and pile thickness varies from rug to rug.
